Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down

As I mentioned on Monday I will have another new weekly post called Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down. It will feature my thoughts on the good,the bad and the ugly from the past week. So without any further delay let's get started shall we.

Thumbs Up- Brent Parker for not traded his two biggest stars Jordan Eberle,Colton Teubert at this year's WHL trade deadline. The rumor is that they were offers from teams but nothing that jumped off the page. Brent knows that neither one will be back next season and that after this season they will leave to the NHL and Parker will get nothing in return. But you just can't trade players like them for draft picks. Good move Brent.



Thumbs Down- Jeff Truitt the GM of the Moose Jaw Warriors for trading his best player Travis Hamonic to the Brandon Wheat Kings. Travis was away from the Warriors for a month while he was playing for Team Canada at this years World Junior Championship. The word out of Moose Jaw is that Hamonic was traded for the lone reason that he was hurt and wouldn't be back until the end of the season and they needed help now. Way to show your best player and heart and soul some respect Jeff. You'll truly a class act.


Thumbs Up- Theo Fleury ex-NHLer and future hall of famer for coming out and bashing the Calgary Flames management on the way they handled their cuts during this year's training camp. Fleury was a late cut for some reason even though he was a point a game player in the NHL pre-season. He also had a few things to say about some of the team's players like Craig Conroy who didn't score his first goal until 37 games into the season. And some how stayed on the second line. Way to go Theo hope to see you at this year's Trans Canada Clash for the Regina Pats/Moose Jaw Warriors Alumni game in Moose Jaw on the 29th.



Thumbs Down- To Eric Tillman the former GM of the Saskatchewan Roughriders for waiting so long to hand in your resignation. You should have done it a long time ago but you had to drag this out for a whole year saying the truth will come out. What you should have done is just came out and said yes I did sexually assault that 16-year-girl instead of saying I didn't. You Tillman truly are a embarrassment and are very lucky that the Canadian Justice System sucks and you got off with nothing.

I don't really give two-shits what happens to you or what people say about you . But you brought shame and embarrassment to that girl and her family as well as your family. Let's not forget the shame and embarrassment that you brought onto the Riders,the Province as well as the good people who live here. You should have been kick out of the Country but instead you get to stay and look for work in the CFL.
