T.G.I. Friday

Happy, Friday everyone I will have a lot to get through today. So let's get to it just one question before we start. Is anyone as jacked about this like? I know I am.

The Pats have a busy weekend starting tonight when they play host to the Swift Current Broncos. The Pats have to come out flying just like they did last Saturday against these same Broncos. But this time they can't and they won't take their foot off the gas pedal to the medal for 6o boys let's go. The Pats then head down to Shitty Creek for the second end of the home and home with the Broncos.

Then on Sunday the Pats are back home to take on the hottest team in the Dub the Kootenay Ice who are riding a 13-game winning streak. The Pats need all 6 points this weekend and if they can get them they will either be only 2 or 4 points out of a playoff spot depending on if the Warriors can do us a favor and beat Red Deer. For those who maybe have been to a lot of games the Pats have been playing some really good hockey as of late and look to keep the ball rolling. Which if they play the way they are capable of that should be no problem.

So get down to the Brandt Centre tonight and Sunday and if you can make the trip tomorrow to Swift to catch the Pats second win in as many nights.

The Riders have not only do they have a new GM but they also have a new VP of football operations. Those of course being Brendan Taman (GM) and Ken Miller (VP), Miller will also stay on as head coach at least for the 2010 season and hopefully more. But Miller is not going to retire for at least the next three years as that is how long his contract is for the VP of the Riders is. Not not saying that Miller won't be moved up to President of the Riders after the 2010 season.

The talk is that Jim Hopson is going to retire after this season Hoppy is currently the Pres of the Riders and if he is to retire I think Miller would be a great fit. Now all we have to do is to starting getting some of are free agents under contract which from what I'm told some already are. And from what I understand the Riders don't have Stevie Baggs sign to one which is a must with or without John Chick which of course it's without Chick, who last week sign a three year deal with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts.

The OHL came down really hard on Windsor Spitfires forward Zack Kassian, suspending him 20 games for his hit to the head of the Barrie Colts Matt Kennedy on Jan. 14. Now first of all I will never condone hits to the head and should be punished. But I saw the replay a few times and I don't believe that was his intend I think he was just making a check and to give him 20 games is extreme to say the least. A 5 or even 10 games would have been enough, but OHL/CHL Commissioner David Branch is on a power trip and I guess he figures he can do what ever he wants.

The Flames downward fall continues the losing streak now sits at 6 games this is a team than needs a desperate wake up call. Maybe sitting a few vets "the core group" the ones that are lead on in times like this are not pulling through it pains me to watch this. Hell it pains me to even writing about so I'm not going to.

Well that's end this with on a funny note how about those Leafs they just keep finding ways to lose too many men in the last minute of ot of course you know what happen not 30 seconds after the call Martin St.Louis scores on the pp. Keep it make me laughs.

Well that's all I got for now see ya, tonight at the Brandt.
