WHL Playoffs

Last night the Clagary Hitmen went into the perfect step up by the Moose Jaw Warriors. The Warriors had just right where they wanted them, but Calgary had other plans and spoiled the Warriors coming out party. This was the Warriors chance to do what nobody thought their could do, by beating the powerful Calgary Hitmen. Calgary came out early and took control of the game by going up 3-0 and 4-1. But goals by Suer and Cox 1:23 apart pulled the Warriors within 1 going into the 3rd.

They had to feeling good about their chances of doing the unthinkable but the Hitmen were not ready to good-bye to each just yet. As by the fact of Cowan scoring just 1:12 into the 3rd to go up 5-3 and Warriors pressed hard for another goal but it was to be. And to make matters worse for them Calgary defenceman Ian Schultz scored twice in the period to help salt the game away and force there to be a 7th heaven. I believe the Warriors blow any shot of winning this series they were up 3-1 in the series.

Now with the Hitmen having all the momentum also game 7 is in their barn with their fans the team in the end that was supposed to win, and win easy. Will win game 7 but the Warriors should be giving credit for this series even going to a game 7.

In another series the Kelowna Rockets and the Everett Silvertips win play game 7 on Monday in Everett., it should also be noted that the home team has won all 6 games. So with that said the Tips have everything going for them. But DO NOT count out the Rockets as they are the defending League and they have also being to four Memorial Cups in 8 years winning in 2003. Yes so of the players have changed from last year but they still have that winning formal, and if you have that well then your a team not to be looked past.

Also The Portland Winter Hawks took a 3-2 against the Spokane Chiefs. This series is the total opposite where the road team has won all five games so far. Spokane jump out to 2-2 start after taking the first 2 in Portland, then the Winter Hawks came storming back to win the last 3 in Spokane. Game 6 will go Monday night in Portland, where the Hawks will look to end the home teams woes.

In action tonight is the Tri City Americans taking on the Chilliwack Bruins in game 6 in Chilliwack. The Ams look to end the series as their lead 3-2.

The Medicine Hat Tigers host Kootneay, the Tigers also have a chance to wrap up their series with the Ice as they lead 3-2. The Tigers have came back after dropping the first 2 to the Ice.
