The Minnesota Vikings payed honour to it's 50 greatest players as part of their 50th anniversary, and the game was even out doors at TCF Bank Stadium home of the U of M Gophers. That's where the good news ends for the once famed "Purple People Eaters". As the Chicago Bears hammered the Vikings 40-14 it what could have been Brett Farve's last game in his Hall of Fame career. Say what you want about Farve but the man is a warrior and nobody can take that away from him.
But for the first time in his career his age is showing his body just can't take the abuse that the NFL dishes out anymore. If Farve is too ride off into the sunset after this year he will go down as one of the greatest of all-times. Some say he should have never come back this year and maybe he shouldn't have but that is his call and nobody else. Brett has earned that after all the blood, sweat and tears he gave.
Thank you Brett for all the memories you have giving us over the years if this is it you will truly be missed.
team Canada played it's first pre-tournament game last night in Oshawa and they took apart Switzerland on the score board and along the boards and just beat the into the ground 8-0. This may not be a Canadian team with a Eberle or Hall. But this is a team through and through that will have to relied on each other and have scoring by all four lines. That's not to say that the team's before hand didn't have a solid team mindset but they had something this team doesn't and that's "Star Power". But with that said I still really like are chances of bringing home Gold and recapturing are place on top of the Junior hockey world.
Terrell Ownes will miss the last two games of the season with a torn meniscus in his left knee. Owens who is 37 years old finished the season 17 yards shy of joining Jerry Rice and Randy Moss as the only NFL players with 10 1,000 yard seasons. This also likely means his stay with the Cincinnati Bengal is over. If that's the case T.O is running out of bridges to burn.
That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by.
