Good Moring Regina

So how have has everyone been since the last time we spoke? I know that I have not updated the blogger in some time, but to be honesty with you I just have not had the time. Or I guess really wanting to with all that has been going on in and around The Greater Regina area. With my I have just been so bogged down with work ,family, work,Pats games, work.

So what has happened since then while of course my Riders lost the Grey Cup. And no it was not the too many men penalty that lost them the game. Was it a big factor? Yes. But so many things went wrong in that last 7 minutes or so that lead to the missed field goal by Montreal's Damon Duval. Which of course he got a second change at it and his second kick was true. Breaking the hearts of the Riders and Rider Nation. But enough said about that game I don't want to talk about it any longer.

The Riders had a great season just to recap a little we finished first for the first time in 33 years. Which of course with being first along with comes hosting the West Final. Darian Durant the Riders rookie quarterback proved all his critics wrong and yes some times I was of those know it all but can't do it guys. But in the end he proved that with him behind centre we have a very brite future, and many of Grey Cup trips and wins to come.

Weston Dressler stared the sophomore jinx straight in the eye and laughed. As he was on pace for 1200 yards, or more receiving this season until a leg injury put him on the shelve for what was the remained of the season. But looking for bigger and better things from him in 2010.Rob Bagg is a guy who was not a house hold name until this season as he exploded onto the scene having himself a break out season. Picking up 59 catches and 807 yards with 4 td's.

Of course Andy Fantuz was great as usual as he had 67 catches for 882 yards and 4 td's even with missing four games this season. That brings us to an other member of the Canadian Air Force Chris Getzlaf out of the shadows of his older bother Ryan. Who of course is Anaheim Ducks star forward in the NHL. Chris like Bagg enjoyed a break out season with having 41 catches 531 yards, to do along with a team high 6 td's.

And of course if you are going to talk about players who had a big contribution this season you don't have to look any further than Stevie Baggs. This guy was a monster all year for the green and white. Leading the CFL in sacks (12). He also had 55 tackles,4 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recovers.Should have been picked the top defensive player for the Riders. But that honer went to the guy beside him John Chick who by the way is no slouch either. Along with being named the Riders top defensive player John also took home that award for top defensive player in the CFL.Chick's numbers were impressive as well though the season Chick picked up 32 tackles,11 sacks , 4 forced fumbles,2 fumble recovers.

There was a lot of players who help the Riders get to the Grey Cup. And from a fans view it was a lot of fun to watch them play this season and I'm looking forward to next season. Have a great off season men you earned it train hard and get ready to come back to kick ass again. Can't wait to see you guys in Edmonton kicking ass and winning the Grey Cup.

Ok on to the only sports team in Regina that of course is the Regina Pats. Who have been playing great hockey over these past 5 weeks or so.After getting off to a shaky start the Pats finished the month of November with a record of 9-4-2 and overall 16-14-3. Regina born and Pats super-star forward Jordan Eberle. Has been on a rapid pace all season along in 26 games he has )28g,29a=57 points). Which is a 1.9 points per game pretty sick numbers, but not far from him is a other Jordan. Weal has picked up in 33 games (16g,31a=47 points) as he is on a 1.42 points pre game pace.

The Pats have one more home game in 2009 on Wednesday as they welcome the defending WHL Champs the Kelowna Rockets to town. With the World Junior's being played here and Saskatoon over Christmas both the Pats and the Saskatoon Blades are sent packing for lengthy road trips. The Pats being theirs on Friday in Medicine Hat this Friday.

So get out to the Brandt Centre and catch some junior hockey as it should be a good one under the orange top.

The New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts both stayed undefeated both are now 12-0 . Can both teams go undefeated all year and then meet in the Super Bowl. My money is no no they can not both teams will lose before that happens I see the Colts going 14-2 and the Saints ending up at 13-3 but I guess time will tell.

All I do know for sure is that my San Francisco 49ers SUCK!!!!! Game after game they just give it away it's like they don't want to win it is so bad that I can't even watch them on t.v. any more.

That's all I got for now.
