The Rangers had a chance to climb into a tie with Pittsburgh for the sixth place in the East but they were not able to over come the Pens. With New York losing their last two all but sealed their fate in trying to catch New Jersey for the Division lead.

This was a battle of the goalies Martin Brodeur (46) saves and Cam Ward (31) saves with Ward coming out on top. For the first two periods it looked like it was going to be the other way around. But at the 13:05 mark of the third when Sergei Samsonov scored his 16th of the season to tie the game at one a piece. Then just 3:21 later at the 16:26 mark of the third Tuomo Ruutu broke the tie with his 24the of the season witch proved to be the winner.

All this game was just two teams playing for pride and jobs. Altanta and Ottawa were tied at two after 20 minutes but Altanta broke it wide open with three in the second to cruse to the win.

This game had more up's and downs than a ride at Six Flags but in the end it was Boston stopping the Leafs ride. As they try to hold off both Washington who are five points back with six and games left and New Jersey who are six points back with seven games left.

Both teams came into the game needing a win as they both fighting for the playoffs. But with the game on his stick Antoine Vermette was stopped in the shoot out and the Blues picked up the much needed two points.

The Sharks had planned to bite down on a wounded group of pups but what they found was a pack of hungry wild Coyotes. But they still were able to fend them off and take sole possession of first over all.

As of now the Habs hold down the final playoff spot in the East but by only one point over Florida and four over Buffalo. It should only be by three over Buffalo as the Sabers did every thing in their power to win in reg time.And the Habs did everything in their power to lose in reg time. But in the end it was Toni Lydman in his first ever shoot out try beating Carey Price five hole to win it for Buffalo.

The ever so laughable Stars and the ever for real Panthers took to the ice last night in Big D. It was Dallas who came out flying and got the games first goal at 4:23 of the first. And had control of the game until the last minute of the second period that's whenStephen Weiss and Nathan Horton scored just 53 seconds apart after that the Panthers never looked back.

This was a battle of one team fighting for playoff position and one team fighting for draft position. In the end it was a desperate playoff hockey team in land of five gallon hats and cowboy boots who came through.

This was the game I was waiting for all night and the Flames did not let their fans down. From the start to the finish they were all over the wild out shooting them 40-15. How good has Eric Nystrom (aka Nyerzman) been of late as he got the game winner again. Sure Kipper has had better games but he still made a couple keys saves. Why to go bots just keep rolling and we can take the Division and home ice advantage for the first two rounds.
